Modifying your behavior and maintaining a healthy attitude can be very helpful to finding relief
from chronic pain - especially when combined with other rehabilitative treatments. If possible,
try to:
- Focus on your strengths, not on your weaknesses - what you can do, not what you can't.
- Break down activities into smaller, manageable tasks.
- Build fitness and healthy eating into your daily routines.
- Develop ways to lower and manage stress.
- Balance rest with activity.
- Develop a support system of family, friends and healthcare professionals.
